Please let it be known, acknowledged and celebrated among the Zen Judo fraternity, and Budo world, that our esteemed colleague and President Mr Gordon Lawson has been promoted to 7th Dan Kyoshi (Master of the Fighting Arts) by Mr Timothy White 8th Dan of Molum Combat Academy, Indiana, USA in recognition of his knowledge, skill, teaching ability, and contribution to Budo, in particular his services to Zen-Judo and the BZJFA.

Shihan Lawson has done much to promote Zen Judo both in the UK and abroad and his knowlege of Judo Kata has been of great benifit to both Zen Judo and non Zen Judo clubs alike.

Please note that Shihan Lawson will once again be attending the Zen Judo Spring Budo course to be held at Petersfield on 28th and 29th May 2005.
