JUDO KATA
What’s Kata mean to you
Is it a test to be overcome to gain another grading or a higher belt ?
Is it demontisation of moves to show how good you and your Uki are ?
Is it a way to charge your students more money by having to do Kata course’s

Kata cannot be leant in few hours then forgotten it must be practised
(This is the way of some judo associations }
It is
an invaluable way to train
fun to learn
As well as Randori, it should be given class time
Each time you do Kata you improve
Your balance
Your timing
Your distance and space awareness
Kata can be carried out by older Judoka
Sports judo people with injury’s
Juno Kata can be practiced without a mat or a gi, can be used as a warm up
