Make sure you replace the spaces and characters between the dave and portsmouthjudo.co.uk with the @ sign. I had to do this to reduce the email harvesting from the website.
There seems to be some problems with his email system at times
so try a text to his mobile instead.

The UMA will be introducing No Gi Judo Ne Waza at the UMA Open Back to Back Judo Ne Waza Championships in 2010.
This will be specifically introduced as so to allow Judokas to experience the No Gi side of the Grappling/Groundfighting game, but within a rule set they are familiar with, hence gaining a little experience of what the No Gi game has to offer, and the experience of competing without a Gi etc.
Ask any Judoka who has trained or competed in a No Gi Contest, they will tell you it is a different game.
As you will know the popularity of MMA, BJJ, Grappling and especially the No Gi game is gaining steady momentum world wide now, hence, the UMA feel that now is a great time to introduce something a little different as so to allow Judokas to at least experience something slightly different and outside their own comfort zone and allowing them the opportunity to give it a try, but without being out of their depth so to speak, hence why the UMA are utilising Ne Waza Rules.
We hope some of the Judokas from the BJA, BJC and AJA will seriously consider taking part, and maybe you will just want to at least give it a go yourself, you never know, you may actually get to like the No Gi game and want to progress even further and test new waters so to speak, or just try and add to your current game etc, like many other Judokas who have done and are doing now.

Due to player numbers being less than a hundred, the event has been moved from Derby to Stoke, as the Derby venue would have been far too expensive and with four contest areas, as opposed to a smaller venue with two contest areas, hence the change of venue.
