The Kenshindoryu Summer course held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July at Roade, Northants, was once again well attended, with Instructors and students from as far away as Berkshire, Kent and West Sussex attending.
Unfortunately due to the inclement weather all the sessions had to be held in the dojo, so no scaring the locals with Shinkendo this year.
The weekend included sessions on:
Karate:
o Informative sessions in Shotokan and Wadoryu, including throwing Bunkai to Naihanchi Kata
Kenjutsu/Shinkendo:
o Experience two ‘styles’ of Japanese sword arts from highly experienced instructors
Judo/Grappling:
o Modern MMA-style grappling and groundfighting as well as Traditional Judo, incorporating pressure-point enhancements
Aikibujutsu:
o Forward-thinking yet traditionally based form of Aikido devised by Obata Toshishiro Kaiso
Jujitsu:
o KDR’s eclectic, highly effective, style of jujitsu
