On 19th September 2005 Meadowlands Zen Judo Club celebrated 25 years of Zen Judo Family training at Meadowland Junior School. Present for the celebrations was Head Teacher Mr Colin O''Shea who presented a bouquet to Sensei Valerie Churchil Chief Instructor of the Club and Shihan of The Zen Judo Family, watched by Peggy McCarthy the wife of the late Dominic McCarthy the founder of the Zen Judo Family. Also attending was Phil Watts 6th Black belts Richard Wells, Mark Baldwin, Tony Webb, Laurine Leighlin, Chris Baylis 1st Dan and Brown belt Michael Dixon.
