From John Goldman:-
Below is my last letter to the Minister's office regarding the UKCC. I had previously asked the same question re non-NGB people obtaining a UKCC to which Mr Burles, DCMS Sports Policy Official replied, "I would suggest that you explore these issues with the British Judo Association in the first instance." Hence I have now asked the same question quoting the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to which Mr Burles has replied, "I will deal with your request by 26 March". No doubt it will be another evasive reply.

Dear Mr Burles
On January 23 2008 levels 1 and 2 judo UKCC were endorsed.
In March 2007 the then Minister for Sport Richard Caborn announced; “Access to UKCC qualifications is not dependent on membership of a specified Governing Body.” In June 2007, then Prime Minister Tony Blair said; “Our position is clear. UKCC qualifications must be accessible to all.”
Under the 2000 Freedom of Information Act can you please supply the following information:
- Has provision been made for non-NGB judo people to gain the judo UKCC?
- If provisions have been made what are they?
Yours sincerely,
John Goldman
