For those of you who have attended the recent Zen Judo courses at Bognor Regis and Nottingham and have wondered what black clad Jujitsu Instructors and students do for a laugh on New Years day. Well I can now reveal that they hold a training session (for charity) on the Elmer beach just east of Bognor Regis.
This annual event started at around 11am on 1st January, with a number of family and on lookers present, plus those more sensible types in a support role.
A quick warm up was followed by a swift training session which involved a lot of sand and avoiding the odd stone and dog. After which Sensei Tony Richards and his senior Instructors demonstrated a new technique for reaching tall opponents.

Three of the more adventurous participants decided that they needed to cool off after the session and headed for the sea. After a quick drink of traditional sake (rice wine) everyone headed for a local beach hut to sample Sensei Tony's home made Sushi ?.
So if you fancy something to do on New Years Day 2009 - Now you know what to do.
N.B: The charities supported this year are St Wilfred's Hospice and The National Epilepsy Association.
